CODE OF CONDUCT
Bearing in mind the framework and responsibilities inherent to the activity developed by the IFT/GELCAMPO, the administration sets as qualitative parameters of your activity, the following guidelines and strategies:
The management level:
- Integrate environmental and social aspects in planning processes and decision-making;
- Identify and manage exposure to risks deriving from economic, environmental and social impacts of the activity;
The ethical level:
- Comply with all national and European legislation, as well as update and follow the recommendations of international organizations of which it is part, related to the sector of activity and with the practices and principles that also defends and endorses, in particular, the principles of the International Labour Organization, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 10 principles of the United Nations;
- Ensure transparency and rigor in business and information and promote the possible actions needed to mitigate acts of bribery, extortion and/or corruption;
The environmental level:
- Preserve the environment and promote the adoption of environmentally responsible procedures along the value chain;
- Rationalize the carbon dioxide emissions and promote the adoption of practices of less energy dependency;
- Ensure the proper routing of waste generated by the activity and promote recycling and/or reuse of the same.
The level of relationship with the value chain:
- To support and respect human rights, protect the right to work and to promote a balance between work and family life;
- Reject any form of forced labour or child labour;
- Reject discrimination for any reason, as well as any form of physical coercion or verbal;
- Respect the freedom of Association and the right to collective bargaining;
- Respect the work schedules, a decent remuneration and conditions of health, hygiene and safety at work;
- Promote the subsequent alignment between the policy of sustainability and social responsibility of the Organization and its suppliers;
The level of dialogue with stakeholders:
- Ensure that there are communication channels that allow a constructive dialogue and the integration of the respective conclusions on management and decision processes of the company;
- Sharing best practices with all stakeholders.
In the context of dialogue with stakeholders, we provide communication channels that allow effectiveness, independence and confidentiality in the treatment of complaints/suggestions and that promote a dynamic sustainability: mail@ift.pt
Going towards this dynamic of sustainability, we have also our 2017 Sustainability Report, which takes stock and a brief analysis on the main aspects linked to sustainable development. In this document are described some environmental indicators and information on the characterization of our human capital.
This document is intended for stakeholders, in particular, customers, suppliers, partners, employees, the local community and society in General.
